INTRODUCTION

These articles date from 1966 (The Limitations of Man) and have been added to as time went on, therefore they are in no particular order of chronology (although most probably are, especially the later ones).
Ever controversial, they are what I feel strongly about. It is, unfortunately, a sad world that we live in and for me, one of the only ways that I can get this sorrow out of my soul is to write down how I feel. It is part of my nature.
Many, or most, of these articles have a recurrent theme. It's just another way of looking at things.
I owe the essences of these articles to my wide reading and viewing the personal experiences of a great many people, dead and alive and, of course, my own. Their lives have given me comfort and discomfort but most of all, inspiration.
To those who have 'shuffled off this mortal coil' and those to come, I give my sincerest thanks.
Please open anywhere and read as you will. If any of these articles incite you, then I have served my purpose.

My very best regards,

Peter K Sharpen

Notes about the author

The author was born on July 5th, 1944 during an air-raid (V1 bomb attack) on London. He was educated at what was then a Secondary Modern School in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He worked in London as a shipping clerk (1961) and emigrated to Western Australia in 1963 with his parents. He lived there until 1967 finding suitable work very difficult to get. He worked variously from farm work to office work, and later oil exploration and many numerous jobs to save for a return to the UK (not a last resting place!).

After a number of varied jobs, he got married (later divorced) and went on to study at a teacher training college, studying English/Art. He qualified in 1978. After a couple of years working , he obtained a job at a Special School in Romford, Essex (which he loved and during which he obtained a Diploma in Special Education). He continued working at this school in the U.K. until 1989 when he decided to give Australia another chance. He worked in Special schools for fifteen years until 2004 when he decided to go and live in France after his retirement.  He returned to England, buying a house near Chesterfield and is awaiting sale of same to buy his home in France. He finally found a lovely lady to share his life.

The author has never been affiliated with any political party, religion or any group. He prefers to remain an independent from all activities except to help others where he can and enjoy a control-free life.

The author has written much music, poetry, short stories, these articles and so forth and is a reasonable artist.
