LIES ____ Most everything you were told is based on a lie or lies. Truths remain within yourself and your personal experiences. Peter K. Sharpen A lie is a deceit, full stop. We are all lied to, constantly. Everyday we are lied to. Events that may or may not have happened are lies (including distortions), one way or another. They are lies because they are not truths. Many truths cannot be 'known' because we have not experienced an event ourselves and evaluated it with whatever faculties we had at the time. Can you remember a dream? It's very difficult. There is a story I remember from years ago in a Reader's Digest. A man had dreamt that he had found the answer to the universe. Determined to write this down for posterity, he had a note-pad and pen placed by his bedside. He managed (!) to recall the dream, woke himself up and scribbled the answer on his note-pad. When he awoke in the morning, he was in ecstasy! He had remembered the answer and had written it down! So he looked and there it was in front of him, the answer to the universe! He had written: The skin is mightier than the banana. Interpret that as you will. [Aside: Freud would interpret that as some sort of psycho-sexual reference but then he only studied people with problems, not the genuinely sane. He was, therefore, a waste of space.] Sorry, it's not part of the essay but there you go; you can't win them all. Lies are pervasive. They become propaganda. But if you take a proper gander at them, they become self evident. Where are references to verified observations? Where is the real statistical data to prove an hypothesis? Where are the references to an affiliation with a group interested in perpetrating their findings usually for gain or celebrity status? If these are not presented, I assume they are lies, or at best untruths. I believe they are one in the same. If they are not truths, verifiable and easily verifiable and cannot be quantified, they are suspect, at least. If no further proof is forthcoming, then they are lies. O.K? Proof is in the pudding, as they say. 'History is bunk.' So said Henry Ford. It's bunk because written history is decided by 'victors' in any sort of war you can imagine or any other field of endeavour. 'Victors' never exist, of course, because the moment you have started a 'war' you have lost. Enter the lies. It would take volumes of books, definitely burnt, to enumerate the lies of history and the 'people' who perpetrated them. There is no need. Forget the epithets of 'believe only half of what you read...' stuff. Believe nothing you have been told, at all, ever! Whatever has happened in the past before you were conscious of your existence is NOTHING! What matters is that you are here in the NOW. And you have to deal with it. Belief is a reliance on some-one/thing else. Your beliefs can only come from what you experience yourself, however 'challenged' you are.  Is your sight better than mine because I wear glasses and you don't? Is my hearing more defective than yours because I wear a hearing aid with failing batteries? The lies about believing something outside yourself is what is Man's downfall, in my view. The perpetual notion of a belief in some 'god' or mythical presence is your own personal downfall. The only belief is in yourself that you can survive and protect what family you have on your own merits, devices and skills. There is nothing else! I'll be honest. If you cannot protect yourself from harm, no-one else can or will. If you do not feel the responsibility of looking after others, that is fine as long as you don't impose that view on them, then you deserve  to exist, otherwise, tough. As I always say (I won't name her but she was a great colleague of mine teaching students with special needs but she said this:): You are the only person inside your head.  This, I believe, is a significant statement. I am sorry to say that if you read, listen, watch popular media, (which is controlled by those you presume to elect and the hordes of bandits you don't) you will be lied to. Whatever the show, advert or whatever, you will be lied to in some way. That's how propaganda works. You will also be inculcated into a 'life-style'. The 'anti' this or 'anti' that. This fad or that. This dietary exercise or that. This food or that. This insurance/bank or that. This 'religion' or that. This 'celebrity' or that and so on ad nauseum.  Believe nothing that you don't see with your own eyes, hearing or any of the other senses that we were provided to you. However  'good' or 'bad' your senses are, they appraise the universe that you feel. Feeling is what you get from the communication of your  senses, whatever they are from the universe-as-a-whole. That is what you are, whatever. If you are among the (seemingly) few who 'listen' to their bodies, you will have no problems. Those who do not listen, will have problems. Those listening to others, whoever they are, or whatever they claim, this if for themselves (good souls that they may sometimes be). If you value your freedom and your own personal life (which by extension relates to others near to you) you will heed these words. Selfishness is the quality of looking after yourself before others. It is the mechanism by which you can help others and therefore be called unselfish. Please don't listen to others unless you can personally verify what they say. Read what they say and evaluate what they might/mean. Therein lies any 'salvation'. Your goal should be the continuance of your own life, not the lives of others whom you do not know or wish to know. If your goal is to follow others, then so be it. It is your loss of self and should not be others' nor coerced upon them. If your soul purpose is to control others by any means, then you will be the loser in the end, not they. Whatever 'god' there may be will not help you. That is a belief that is surer than death itself of which the probability is 100% (and can be readily observed). The world that was presented to you at birth is a lie of history. Your history begins at birth, all else is conjecture/asumptions/lies and any/everything else. It is here, at your birth, you are born into a world you did not create (nor would have created!). You belong to no man since you do not know man or woman. You are a child of the tit. Your life should be your own. And if you say it is; it is. All the breast. Peter K. Sharpen
