LIFE - What's it all about?
___________________________

Good question. Big question. Answer: we'll never know. We might believe we know and may be even taught we know but we will never know. It's an impossible question, so it cannot have an answer.

One has asked (cried out) out into the world: Why am I here? What is the purpose?

These too are big questions. They are also impossible questions for who or what is there to answer them. The answers can only come from the person contemplating them.

What we learn and what we are taught are two different things entirely. It is here that we find the dilemma. Is what I learn what I am taught? The answer is much of the former and little of the latter.

There is another factor and that is what is inate in us. That is, what is laid down in our body make-up that derives from our parents, whatever they may be. Again, that is, what is laid down in the genetic material from which we come to be made as some sort of living being. 'Some sort of living being' means how we exist on this earth, and whatever our individual abilities/disabilities are. Abilities/disabilities referring to how we react with the earth, not a particular ability/disability.

Why we are here is a question that cannot be answered. We are here, in whatever shape or form and that is the end of it. No 'responsibility' (or hence 'guilt') for that fact can be entered into since 'responsibility/guilt' is a product of the imagination. We are, after all, just another animal that has its own abilities/disabilities.

The purpose of our life is a definite no-no. There cannot be any purpose other than that which we seek. 'Purpose' presupposes a belief in something exterior that is having some effect on us, even to the extent that that 'something' created us in the first place. Beliefs are fine if they act psychologically to help you overcome the 'why are we here' syndrome but they do not help in determining anything else about our lives.

So, you may ask: why are we here?

We are here because that is the nature of the animals we are. It's quite simple. Do other animals ask the same questions? Because they don't have communication skills or a language of sorts?  Other animals act the same way we do. The only difference is that we have some sort of awareness that makes us ask the questions. Animals most certainly do have varying degrees of communication skills, actually more than most humans, who seem to have lost the ability! It doesn't mean they are relevant to anything, merely that we ask the questions. No more than other animals can we find answers that we don't invent to satiate our need for answers. The answers are, for our personal survival, irrelevant.

If there is no 'purpose' what's the point of living? Answer: just that. Living. We may think that Man has control over the environment but that is a nonsense. We may be able to make big waves but they are puny compared with 'real' waves.

What we must never lose sight of is that Man is an animal. He pretends to be better than other animals (and often denegrates them) but that is his conception, it is not necessarily a truth. If Man fails to see this, then he is doomed to extinction (one way or another).  Man can only survive by being capable of not being harmed by those things which will hurt, maim or kill him in order to survive themselves. These things can only be done by the use of natural earthly products.

Any living creature is intent on its own survival. There can be no question about this. However, there comes a time when this 'survival' overcomes the natural. Man has the capabilities of overcoming this survival. It will be to his detriment. The 'rules' of nature require moderation and balance. Upsetting the balance leads to chaos (not chaos theory, that is something else). It is chaos in the sense it is generally defined ( everything is running amok).

The universe does not run amok. It runs and that's it. It does what it does without the hand of any god or otherwise. It runs and that's it. We can study this for a philosophical excercise but it is not really important to our survival, we have to go home and cook.

'Truth is a property of beliefs'. I don't know who wrote that; I think I did, many years ago but I won't claim it as mine, just in case.

Beliefs are purely personal but exploited by those who deem to control. Control is a particular manifestation of the human. If there is control in the 'other' animal kingdom, then it is fought for for survival of that animal (however defined).

The most important manifestation of the 'human' animal is the need to control other animals (especially our own). Control is (here) defined as having an influence over another animal that may or may not be predudicial to their personal survival. The merits or demerits of this are for your personal questioning.

We are persistently living in a world that is being devised by other people. These people want to control every aspect of our being. For whatever reasons they feel the need to control. That is their purpose and they will do anything to retain control. 'Those that cannot control themselves feel the need to control others.' Now I did say that.

There are humans that are weak . There are humans that are strong . The weak are not necessarily unable to fight, as 'weak' is human a term for a particular type of person described by the 'strong'. The same goes for the 'strong' they are 'strong' because the weak define them as such. Strong does not mean 'good', nor does 'weak' mean 'bad'. This is not, however, as it is usually interpreted.

'Weak' people (my definition) object to violence of any sort. They are 'strong' in their objection but will rarely do violence.

'Strong' people are most often violent. They are 'weak' in that they fear those they consider 'weak'. That are what is known as 'bullies'.
